Qatar Stopover on Qatar Airways

I’m all about making the most of a trip and seeing as many new places as possible, so I was super excited to hear about the Qatar Airways stopover package!

This post may contain affiliate links, which means I’ll receive a commission if you purchase through my links, at no extra cost to you. Please read full disclosure for more information.

From now through the end of 2024 (and hopefully, the program will be extended) you can add a one to four-day stopover in Doha on any Qatar Airways flight. The multi-day stopover packages are priced based on the hotel you stay at and four-star hotels start at just $14 per person per night double occupancy! Rates can go as high as $83 per person per night double occupancy for a five-star luxury hotel, which is still a steal! You can also add on breakfast, tours, and airport transportation or you can simply do your own thing and explore!

Of course, these packages are subject to availability, and blackout dates do apply. As previously noted, the program is only currently listed as running through the end of 2024, so now’s the time to jump on this cool program!

It’s important to note that depending on where you’re traveling from, you may need a visa. Also, if your stopover is less than 24 hours, your bags will be checked through to your final destination and you will be unable to retrieve them in Doha. With stopovers longer than 24 hours, you’ll need to retrieve your checked bags in Doha and re-check them when you depart.

I recently had a 16-hour stopover on Qatar Airways in Doha and while I didn’t take advantage of their packages, I did book one of their Transit Tours and got to spend a few hours exploring the desert and Inland Sea, rather than killing time in the airport. I highly recommend it as it was a fun way to pass the time and see a little bit of a new-to-me country while in transit!

If you like it, put a pin on it!
