I recently spent 16 Hours in Qatar, including a brief stay at the Oryx Hotel in Doha Airport. Here’s everything you need to know about the Oryx Airport Hotel.

When Can You Check In and Check Out?

Since this is an airport transit hotel at Hamad International Airport, guests can book rooms either overnight or in hourly packages with varying check in and check out times. Contact the hotel regarding your specific travel plans.

Location of the Oryx Airport Hotel

The Oryx Airport Hotel is located at Hamad International Airport in Doha, Qatar. Just a short walk from the Yellow Lamp Bear in Hamad International Airport’s main area, near the Hermes store, is the elevator to access the Oryx Airport Hotel.

Oryx Hotel Room Amenities

Rooms in the Oryx Airport Hotel have comfy beds, a flat screen tv, an in room safe, free WiFi, and a complimentary coffee station. 24-hour room service is available. Other room amenities include shampoo, conditioner, body wash, as well as a toothbrush and toothpaste.

Oryx Hotel Spa Services

The Vitality Wellbeing & Fitness Centre is the spa at the Oryx Airport Hotel. It is located on the fourth floor of the property and spa services are available to hotel guests and walk-in passengers. Spa services include massages and facials. Only hotel guests have complimentary access to the pool, fully equipped gym, hydrotherapy tubs, and shower rooms. Non hotel guests may access these facilities at the Vitality Wellbeing center for a fee.

The Vitality Wellbeing & Fitness Centre is open from 6 AM to 2 AM daily.

Oryx Airport Hotel Family Rooms

The Oryx Airport Hotel has five types of rooms: superior rooms, deluxe rooms, family rooms, executive suites, and the presidential suite.

Superior Rooms

The superior room is 38 square meters and comes with a King bed.

Deluxe Rooms

The deluxe room comes with either twin or King beds and is around 40 square meters.

Family Rooms

The family rooms are 56 square meters and include three beds.

Executive Suites

The executive suites are 92 square meters and feature a seating area near the bed.

Presidential Suite

The largest of the rooms, the presidential suite is 132 square meters and features a separate lounge area in addition to a bedroom.

Oryx Hotel Fitness Center

The Oryx Airport Hotel has a fully equipped gym in the Vitality Wellbeing & Fitness Centre. The fitness center also has a pool if you wish to swim laps.

If you’re looking for a different kind of workout there is an immersive golf simulator in the fitness centre. 30 minutes of golf simulator time costs $22. One hour of golf simulator time costs $35.

There is also a squash court at the Oryx Airport Hotel. Use of the squash court costs $26 for two hours.

The golf simulator and the squash court are fun ways to pass the time until your next flight at Hamad International Airport.

Dining at the Oryx Airport Hotel

Because the Oryx Airport Hotel is located in the main area of Hamad International Airport, there are many restaurants within walking distance. 24 hour room service is available to guests staying in the Oryx Airport Hotel.

Is the Oryx Airport Hotel Accessible?

The Oryx Airport Hotel in Doha, Qatar is wheelchair accessible. What makes the Oryx Airport hotel accessible is its elevator. The rooms are large and can accommodate a wheelchair. Showers may not be accessible as there is a lip at the entrance to the walk in shower.
