Tocumen International Airport (PTY) is the main international airport in Panama. One of the busiest airports in Central America, it is located in Panama City and has half a dozen daily flights from Miami as well as flights from Orlando, Texas, the New York area, and Los Angeles. Copa Airlines is one of the most popular airlines that serves Panama, but American, Delta, and United also fly there.
Panama City is also home to a smaller airport, Albrook “Marcos A. Gelabert” International Airport (PAC) and this is important to know if you’re taking a smaller flight within Panama. The airports are about 30 minutes apart by car (Ubers and taxis are plentiful in Panama City) so if you’re taking a smaller flight, like the one to Bocas del Toro (BOC) you’ll need to plan plenty of time between flights to change airports.
