Are there Overwater Bungalows in French Polynesia’s Gambier Islands?

Located almost 1,000 miles southeast of Tahiti, the remote Gambier Islands (or Îles Gambier or Archipel des Gambier) is an archipelago in French Polynesia. The archipelago is made up of the Mangareva Islands and the uninhabited Temoe atoll.

Mangareva, Akamaru, Aukena, and Taravai are the major islands, with Mangareva being the largest of the 14 islands.

There are currently no overwater bungalows anywhere in the Gambier Islands. Head to nearby Bora Bora or Moorea to find overwater bungalows.
