Whether you’re visiting or local you’ll inevitably find yourself looking for things to do in Orlando on a rainy day and today I’m sharing my five favorites! From the athletic to the just observing these five Orlando activities will entertain you while keeping you dry!

Orlando Ice Den

Ice skating is not the first thing that comes to mind when you think of Florida, but a couple of hours on the rink at Orlando Ice Den is a nice respite from Orlando’s sometimes grossly hot temperatures! It’s one of my favorite things to do in Orlando on a rainy day! Public skate sessions are offered daily (with a few exceptions for hockey tournaments) and last one hour and forty-five minutes. Weekday afternoon sessions are $17 and weekend sessions are $20 (both prices include skate rental). Individuals three and up can skate and rental size skates run from toddler size 8 to men’s size 15.

Epic Axe Throwing

Located near Lake Eola Epic Axe Throwing is a fun way to pass a rainy afternoon! Don close-toed shoes (required, and available for rent if you forget) and throw lightweight axes at wooden targets. Compete with your friends to see who is better at hitting the bullseye while sipping beer, wine, or hard seltzer (available for purchase).

For $30/person you get one hour of throwing time plus a shared coach to give you throwing tips. Reservations are suggested for groups of 4+. Open Thursday through Monday and suitable for ages 13 and up.

Aiguille Rock Climbing Center

Aiguille Rock Climbing Center offers 10,000 square feet of climbing surfaces including both bouldering and rope climbing. Perfect for newbies, bouldering is low to the ground and doesn’t require instruction: you simply climb on the color-coded hand and foot holds. Rope climbing requires a partner (or an auto-belayer to stand in for a partner) and instruction.

Day passes are $18/adult and $15/child and climbing shoes can be rented for $4. Monthly memberships are available. Aiguille is open daily and reservations are not required.

Titanic Museum Orlando

Step back in time at the Titanic Museum Orlando! With costumed actors, full-scale room recreations, and over 300 artifacts you’ll feel like you’ve gone back to April 1912 and stepped aboard the Titanic. When you enter, you’ll receive a boarding pass and assume the identity of a real-life Titanic passenger. As you explore you’ll see various galleries showcasing areas of the ship and see the second-largest hull piece ever recovered. And at the end of your journey, you’ll learn whether or not your passenger survived that fateful night.

Guided tours and special events like tea time and gala dinner packages are available if you want that next-level experience.

Reservations are suggested and a family four-pack of tickets (two adults and two children) can be purchased for $74.95. Florida resident discount available. Open daily.

Madam Tussauds Wax Museum

You’ve likely heard of Madame Tussauds Wax Museum and it’s no surprise that the world’s greatest wax museum is here in Orlando! Located in ICON Park, the Orlando location of Madame Tussauds features more than 90 figures ranging from Ariana Grande to Neil Armstrong! You’ll enjoy fun photo opportunities with wax celebs in uniquely themed sets.

Tickets start at $34.99 and a Florida resident discount is available. Open daily.

With these things to do in Orlando on a rainy day, there’s no need to get drenched at Disney!
